After extensive research and development with the JZ Platform in Drifting & Drag Racing, we have come to the conclusion a Dry Sump System is a must have component to ensure no oil starvation during high-speed corners and fast launches in drag applications.
This also stiffens the block and makes the engine sturdier in extreme conditions due to the design of the pan.
Installation should be done by a professional only, this is just the oil pan.

You will need bolts & nuts to install this Oil Pan.
The dry sump setup has many advantages, this includes:
- Increased engine reliability due to consistent oil pressure
- Increased oil capacity if a larger reservoir is installed.
- Low oil pressure occurs less often.
- Less likelihood of engine oil starvation under high g-force cornering
- Increased horsepower due to reduced friction within the oil pan
- Better control of oil temperature
- Increased vehicle stability and handling due to a lower center of gravity.
We’re currently in the process of developing a bracket that allows seamless installation of the Petersen Dry Sump Oil Pump to the side of your JZ engine, making the dry sump conversion straightforward and hassle-free.
