Introducing the newest addition to our Quick Change Differential Parts Development Program – the Speedtek "Terminator" Differential.
Designed specifically for fabricators, race teams, and professional builders, the Terminator Differential is a dedicated fabrication tool for anyone building their own rear subframes and differential mounting systems.
One of the biggest challenges when fabricating a rear subframe is heat distortion. During welding, the mounting points naturally pull inward as the material cools, making installation of the actual Quick Change Differential difficult.
To solve this problem, we developed the Speedtek Terminator Differential. The Terminator features slightly wider dimensions (3mm wider on the side bells), allowing builders to fabricate and weld their subframes without risking damage to their production Quick Change Differential. Once fabrication is complete, simply remove the Terminator and install your production differential, guaranteeing correct fitment while eliminating costly mistakes during construction.
The Terminator's oversized mounting dimensions have been precisely engineered to account for the material shrinkage that occurs during welding. As the fabricated subframe cools and the mounting points naturally draw inward, the final dimensions are brought into specification, ensuring the production Quick Change Differential installs with the correct fitment.
The Terminator is CAD designed for maximum accuracy and is precision laser cut from 3mm Australian 350MPa structural steel. The use of 350MPa steel provides excellent structural rigidity and significantly greater strength than standard mild steel, ensuring the Terminator remains dimensionally stable throughout the fabrication process while standing up to repeated workshop use.
This is another small but important addition to our Quick-Change Differential program and another example of how Speedtek continues to develop products that solve real-world problems experienced by fabricators and race teams.
