Our transmission gearsets are globally proven motorsport parts, used in vehicles worldwide for various applications.
We have tested these in highly stressed towing situations and Motorsport Rally Dakar events in pro-built race chassis/cars.
Factory transmission gearsets typically fail at 500-600Nm. Our kits, with larger profile gears and substantially larger teeth than the factory gearset, can withstand over 1000Nm.
We also include an upgraded 3rd-4th gear hub, splined 360 degrees internally, as the factory unit tends to fail due to partial splining.
Speedtek Auto Racing transmission gears are made from high-quality forged billet materials and machined to precise tolerances.
Spline Type: STANDARD (No clutch change required for easy installation. Please send us a picture of your current input shaft.)
The pictured unit is a 23-spline Toyota, but we can make it with any spline you require. A great upgrade is the GM26 spline over the factory AX5 & AX15 10-spline input. Please specify your pilot bearing size, as AX5 and AX15 transmissions have two sizes (14.98mm & 19.05mm).
Gear Ratios: 1st: 2.70
2nd: 1.60
3rd: 1.20
4th: 1.000 Input Shaft / Drive Gear
5th: 0.72 (Long Ratio for Highway/Towing applications to reduce RPM/fuel consumption)
This kit is designed for the AX5 & AX15 transmissions, but please note we provide gears only with the upgraded hub. The synchros and shift sleeves may differ between models, so to avoid mistakes, we recommend opting for the full package, which includes the correct synchros, sleeves, and hubs to match.
This kit is made to work with the latest synchros to improve shift performance and synchronizer ring life. We do not recommend ordering the kit without synchros, as you may not know which parts to source.
We also offer assembly services for these transmissions. Please fill out the "Contact Us" form for any inquiries.
If you are uncertain about your transmission model, send us details and photos of your vehicle and transmission so we can identify it.
We now offer Isotropic Superfinishing on all our Speedtek Products.
(This process will increase the time from when we could dispatch the kit, please email us if you have any questions)
Superfinishing is a metalworking process that improves surface finish and workpiece geometry. This is achieved by removing just the thin amorphous surface layer left by the last process with an abrasive stone to grind the gears and other parts ; this layer is usually about 1 μm in magnitude. Superfinishing, unlike polishing which produces a mirror finish, creates a cross-hatch pattern on the workpiece.
Advantages of superfinishing include: increasing part life, decreasing wear, closer tolerances, higher load bearing surfaces, better sealing capabilities, and elimination of a break in period.
