These are typically used when the car's ride height is altered from the factory height. 

Prior to fitting your axle into the HUB, place the Spacer on the Axle with the flat side facing the axle and the stepped side facing the Wheel Bearing/Hub.

When fitting your axles please make sure you don't have anymore then 10mm of space between the axle flange and differential flange, if you have too much space/gap between the CV flange(axle flange) and Differential Half Shaft Flange you will cause excessive wear on the CV Bearings and or you will have the Half Shaft exit the side of the Differential.
