Our spools are meticulously crafted from 4140 chromoly billet materials and machined to precise tolerances, ensuring your wheels remain consistently locked. They are perfect for drag or drift applications where equal torque must be applied to both rear wheels, optimizing acceleration potential.
Unlike standard or mechanical LSDs, which can fail or crack under the stresses of motorsport applications, our spools offer superior durability.
Weighing less than 5 kg, these units provide significant performance benefits. The reduced weight means less power is required to rotate the mass, resulting in faster times on the strip and reduced wear on your drivetrain.
Designed to fit open-wheel Nissan R200V differentials, commonly found in models such as the 350Z, 370Z, G35/V35 Skyline, and similar vehicles, these spools feature a 31-spline configuration and are compatible with both open-wheel and LSD shafts due to the solid full spool design with splines running end to end.
After manufacturing, the spools undergo a nitriding treatment to enhance their durability.
What is Nitriding? A heat treating process that diffuses nitrogen into the surface of a metal to create a case-hardened surface. These processes are most commonly used on low-carbon, low-alloy steels. They are also used on medium and high-carbon steels, titanium, aluminium and molybdenum.
Designed and machined by Speedtek Auto Racing.
We now offer Isotropic Superfinishing on all our Speedtek Products.

Superfinishing is a metalworking process that improves surface finish and workpiece geometry. This is achieved by removing just the thin amorphous surface layer left by the last process with an abrasive stone to grind the gears and other parts ; this layer is usually about 1 μm in magnitude. Superfinishing, unlike polishing which produces a mirror finish, creates a cross-hatch pattern on the workpiece.
Advantages of superfinishing include: increasing part life, decreasing wear, closer tolerances, higher load bearing surfaces, better sealing capabilities, and elimination of a break in period.
