Building a custom rear subframe around a Quick Change Differential has always come with one major challenge, weld distortion.
Every experienced fabricator knows that once the welding is complete and the steel cools, the mounting points naturally pull inward due to material shrinkage. Even a few millimetres of movement can make fitting your finished Quick Change Differential frustrating, often requiring unnecessary rework and adjustments.
To eliminate this problem, we've developed the Speedtek "Terminator" Differential.
Rather than risking damage to your finished differential during fabrication, simply bolt the Terminator into your jig or rear subframe while welding.
The Terminator has been intentionally designed with side bells that are 3mm wider than the production Quick Change Differential. This additional width has been carefully calculated to compensate for the natural shrinkage that occurs during the welding process.
As the fabricated subframe cools and the mounting points draw inward, the finished dimensions return to specification, allowing your production Quick Change Differential to install exactly as intended.
It's a simple solution to a problem every fabricator has experienced.
